I received a communication from the Ambergris Tourist Association recently, promoting that cruel and beautiful city. Well, actually it was an email from Jeff VanderMeer, but it comes to much the same thing since he’s sponsored by the Ambergris Merchant’s Guild. It’s an extremely fine animation for Ambergris, the City of Saints and Madmen - a frankly brilliant and unusual (and often funny and mysterious and scary and…) book which was one of my picks for our current catalogue.
