No, not a remake of the dire Disney film, I’m glad to say, but news from Variety and Flog (Fantagraphic’s blog) that Charles Burns’ Black Hole has been optioned for a movie adaptation, with Alexandre Aja (Switchblade Romance) attached to direct. The story, originally published as a comic by Fantagraphics and recently released as a very handsome hardback edition from Pantheon details a mysterious plague brought on by sexual contact among high school students and incorporates a lot of horror genre imagery.
