Following on from yesterday’s speculation the new James Bond has been announced and – no real surprise – it is indeed Daniel Craig who will be the next holder of the double-O license to kill. Shooting on the Paul Haggis-scripted Casino Royale begins in January and promises to take us back to the books with a younger, colder, meaner Bond (early Connery was closer to the book in that respect) and no gadgets (does this mean no John Cleese as the new Q then?).
