Ghost Rider postponed

Sony has pulled the $120 million Ghost Rider movie with Nic Cage from the proposed summer 2006 slot due to a crowded release schedule for big summer movies, according to Variety. It now looks as if the film will not show in the US until February 2007. Poor old Nic – he’s struggled for years to scratch his urge to play a superhero in a movie he must be starting to feel cursed…

Alice Cooper – Superhero

I missed this, but luckily it is archived over on the BBC site for a few days – Radio 2 broadcast a programme on superheroes narrated by none other than the great Alice Cooper! Brilliant! One commentator even pointed out that comics – often portrayed as a medium mostly for boys – had female heroes she could empathise with long before such strong women’s characters were common in movies or TV. Well worth a listen.
