Cheryl in Emerald City reports that one of our favourite authors, Iain M Banks, is to appear on the seriously heavyweight Mastermind programme. His specialist subject will come as no surprise to those who know him – it’s malt whisky (and not whiskey as SciFi Wire reported!). The paperback of Iain’s first SF novel in four years, the excellent Algebraist, is in our stores now.
