Walter Mosley, the internationally best-selling crime novelist (and long-time comics fan) is apparently the inspiration behind the incredibly tasty Fantastic Four Maximum Edition coming from Marvel this November. Mosley said that he had the idea for the blown-up images because when he was a child reading comics he would try to get as close as possible to the frames to ‘open up worlds’ (sure more than a few of us have done this with our comics!). Mosley also contributes a substantial introduction and afterword to this sumptous celebration of the art of the great Jack Kirby.
