Media – confirmations and possibilities

General

SciFi Channel has confirmed a third season for the revamped (and quite excellent I think) Battlestar Galactica series. Last year saw an unusual event where we poor souls in the UK got to see the series well ahead of the US audiences. Alas this year things have reverted to type with US SciFi showing season two while we all wait to see what happens to Commander Adama, Boomer, Starbuck and the rest, but its still good news to know they have decided to pick up a third season.

Elsewhere in the media Andy Diggle’s version of The Losers for DC has been optioned for a possible movie. Now many properties get optioned and remain eternally in the flames of development hell, but the latest word is that actor/writer/director Peter Berg may be involved in drafting a script and possibly interested in directing duties. More when we hear it.
