The phrase ‘eagerly anticipated’ doesn’t really quite cover the way fans feel about the movie collaboration between Dave McKean and Neil Gaiman. MirrorMask wowed them at the Sundance Film Festival and I’ve been waiting along with many others to see if it was likely to appear on the programme of this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival. And the superb news is – YES!!! As far as I know this is the first UK showing for the film.
There will be two showings of MirrorMask at this August’s EIFF (one of my all-time favourite festivals): Friday August 19th and Saturday 27th August. And that’s not all – Joss Whedon’s Serenity movie will also be making a UK debut at this year’s EIFF (way to go, EIFF folk!) on the 22nd and 24th of August along with a Reel Life appearance on Tuesday 23rd. More details can be had via the EIFF official website.
