In the excitement over the Hugo awards I totally missed several others, so please excuse the tardiness in bringing these to you. The multi-talented Warren Ellis won a gong from the Sidewise Awards for Alternative History for the terrific Ministry of Space from Image.

The Prometheus Awards given by the Libertarian Futurist Society picked the outstanding Neal Stephenson out for the third part of his Baroque Cycle, The System of the World. A brilliant writer and one of the best series I’ve ever read, so well done, Neal. On a side note, one of FPI’s favourites, Ken MacLeod, has won the Prometheus Award twice.
