SF Shorts

General

No, I’m not talking about a new range of garments that FPI are selling for the fashion-conscious SF person for the summer. Shorts, as in short fiction. The organiser of Interaction, the Worldcon being held in Glasgow this August have created a series of links on the Hugo nominations page. In the case of the short stories and novellas these links often lead to the full text of the author’s story.

It’s intended to help the voting process for the Hugo categories easier since many of the nominations for shorter forms have been published in a number of different publications over a fair old period of time and even in different countries, making them traditionally hard to find. With the internet and co-operative and enlightened authors there’s a way round this now and you can check out the nominated authors at your leisure, including Mike Resnick, Kelly Link and our old chum Charlie Stross.
