The horror, the horror of it all…

General

We’ve covered several rather groovy graphic novel anthologies on the blog recently, with quite a few of them coming from the independent publishers. These collections often offer readers a chance to sample new work from up and coming writers and artists, usually at a very good price, meaning readers get to experience something fresh without having to invest a lot of money in an unknown comic and, at the same time, they are supporting new talent, so it is a win-win situation: unusual, exciting new material for us to read, support and much-needed exposure for new writers, artists and independent publishers.

In that vein, may I bring your attention to a delightfully ghoulish new horror anthology (perhaps I should have said ‘tapping the vein’), Silent Screams. We asked Dave at Saddle Tramp Press to share a little of their thinking behind this new anthology (from the people behind the WAR anthology). He dismounted his red-eyed, skeletal horse and joined us at the Virtual Saloon, his trail-dirty dust-coat sweeping the floorboards and his spurs clicking, throwing his saddle bags over the bar-top.

Silent Screams: an anthology of psychological torment, is the second anthology published by Saddle Tramp Press. The stories within are meant to challenge your fears, and make you worry about what’s in the closet before you go to bed at night. With contributions from Tom Mandrake, Brad Samuelson, Brandon Wilt, and many others, this book boasts an excellent array of talent. Saddle Tramp Press has plans to become the newest name in independent publishing. With this book, they’re well on their way!”

Silent Screams is released this November from Saddle Tramp Press at a ludicrously low price and looks perfect for reading on those long, dark, winter nights.
