The attempt to make a movie version of Moore and Gibbons’ masterwork has been stuck in development for years now, going through various potential directors (including Dan Aronofsky, who bowed out to complete the Fountain). Now it has jumped studios, from Paramount to Warner Brothers, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Considering Warner Bros is owned by Time Warner who own DC and are producing V for Vendetta (which Alan Moore has had his name taken off) this seems suitable. Whether it means the film will ever be made is another matter and whether fans really want it to be made is another. We don’t dare ask Alan what he thinks.
