Cate Blanchett looks likely to star in and produce a movie adaptation of the graphic novel Cancer Vixen, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The graphic novel which is just about to be released is an autobiographical work by ‘fashionista’ cartoonist for the New Yorker and Glamour magazine Marisa Acocella Marchetto. Happily living the Sex and the City-style lifestyle of fashion and shoes with her friends Marisa, on the run up to her wedding, is diagnosed with breast cancer. The graphic novel details her struggle to beat cancer her way, wearing high-heels to chemo sessions and looks like a very unusual and interesting read. I still think the tag line on this cover is one of the best I’ve seen all year.
