The BBC has a new interpretation of Dracula due to air over the holidays (I say interpretation rather than adaptation since it looks to be taking liberties with the story), with Stephanie Leonidas as Mina – Stephanie was the central player in Gaiman and McKean’s visually splendid MirrorMask movie. The new version goes out on Thursday 28th on BBC One and also stars Marc Warren as the Count. In other Transylvannian news (how’s that for a link?!?) Marvel Milestones has announced a forthcoming Tomb of Dracula statue which looks superb. Limited to only 1, 000 pieces this will sell out quicker than a Gypsy woman can mutter “the dead travel fast”, so if you want to get your fangs into it advance ordering is the name of the game.
