A reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday 30th May, is the next meeting of the Edinburgh SF Book Group. As usual the group will be meeting at 6pm in Henderson’s on Hanover Street in Edinburgh’s New Town with this month’s book being Polystom by the always-excellent Adam Roberts. It also marks only the second author to have had two books selected byt he group for discussion, the other being the great Alfred Bester, so Adam is in very good company. The group usually meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 6pm in Henderson’s to discuss a book chosen by members (and enjoy some of Henderson’s lovely food), with all welcome to come along and join in.
Adam’s latest novel, a deft mixture of human ambition, space exploration and politics of the future (which serve to comment on the politics of today), Gradisil, was released in March and is an engrossing and intelligent read; Adam also discussed Gradisil on the FPI blog back in March.
