In a nice change from the doom and gloom of recent announcements of SF related sites closing down Cheryl’s Emerald City reports on the launch of a new online e-zine, Estronomicon. yes, the name does suggest Lovecraft meets estrogen replacement therapy (the Book of All Hormones, written by a mad doctor; perhaps in a parallel dimension a female Sam(antha) Raimi made a film based around it called The Evil Hormones) but actually its a rather interesting sounding e-zine of new fiction, both shorts and extracts from longer works, including in the first issue Frank Wu (who also provides a striking dragon cover), David Hardy, Sean Wright, Sarah Crabtree and the excellent Peter Crowther (who is one of the folk brave enough to keep small press publishing alive in the UK with PS Publishing).
