SFGate has an interview up with Gene Yang, creator of American Born Chinese, which, as we reported here a couple of weeks ago, is the first graphic novel to be shortlisted for a National Book Award, which is quite a feather in the cap of both Gene and publisher First Second who are still in only their first year (and with some rather good titles already in their stable).
