Ghost Rider trailer

Poor old Nic Cage – he has been keen to play a superhero for years and been attached to several film developments (including the new Superman movie at one stage, which, much as I like him, I have to say I am glad he didn’t end up in the cape as he isn’t terribly suitable). When he finally had his own superhero movie, Ghost Rider, he seemed happy to be playing Johnny Blaze. And then the studio decided that this summer’s release slate was a bit too full of comic-to-movie action and the film was shoved back to a 2007 release. A trailer has now gone online so at least we can see a bit of what to expect when we finally get to see the movie (ironically with a tag-line of “the Rider is coming” whcih may make comics fans yell “when???”). And coming somewhat sooner is a cool new collection from Marvel with Garth ‘parental advisory’ Ennis scripting it and taking Johnny further into damnation than ever before in The Road to Damnation. All together now, “we’re on a highway to Hell….”
