The Harvey Awards nominations, along with the Eisners and Eagle Awards one of the biggest in the industry, have now been announced. The awards, named in honour of Harvey Kurtzman, honour outstanding work in sequential art – what we like to call comics – and are selected by peers, all picked by other comics creators (creators, ballots can be downloaded from the Harvey site, deadline is Friday 28th July). The awards are announced at the Baltimore Comic-Con at a special banquet on Saturday 9th September with the excellent Kyle Baker MCing.
