Marvel has The Galactic Bounty Hunters coming out shortly, based around concepts and characters by the legend that is Jack Kirby. The co-writer is none other than Lisa, Jack’s daughter, who, along with Steve Robertson and Mike Thibodeaux, is picking up her father’s concepts and expanding them, taking them into press in what is bound to be a treat for all serious comics fans (just as Neil’s version of Jack’s Eternals is wowing us – Kirby-esque overdose of joy…).
“The Galactic Bounty Hunters characters were created by Jack Kirby while he was working on Captain Victory in the early 1980s,” explained Executive Editor Tom Brevoort. “Rather than use the characters in Victory, though, he pulled them aside, intending to revisit them later. And from Jack’s notes and concepts, Lisa along with Steve Robertson, Mike Thibodeaux and Richard French fleshed out the characters and their story for this project.”
