Comics and cartoons, News

As regular readers will know I’ve discussed the growing trend for comics publishers to employ the talents of established novelists or screenwriters in recent years. Cheryl on Emerald City points me to news that Marvel has gone the whole hog and signed up a novelist and screenwriter in the shape of Blighty’s own Paul Cornell. Paul has written for the new Doctor Whoseries, the New Adventures, his own SF novels and was very animated in telling an audience about SF in the media about the new Robin Hood series he was working on at the EasterCon in Glasgow (among many other script credits). Now he has posted on his blog about being let loose by Marvel on Wisdom, which stars British intelligence officer Pete Widsom, onetime paramour of the X-Men’s Kitty Pryde.
