I’m indebted to Ariel at the Alien Online for this heads-up and link to a recent BBC Radio programme, Confessions of a Crap Artist, which the more astute among you will already have guessed is about the great Philip K Dick; his life, his chemical stimulations, his writings, his neuroses… Still one of the most fascinating writers, in any genre and quite timely considering the imminent rotoscoped adaptation of A Scanner Darkly due in cinemas and another entry from his ouevre due from Gollancz’s damned fine SF Masterworks series in the shape of A Maze of Death. It is currently archived on the BBC site, but these programmes are usually only available to stream for a short time, so check it out soon.
