Comics and cartoons, General

Tom at Comics Reporter notes happily that Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Signe Wilkinson has created the Library of Congress’ Woman Who Dare calendar, an honour, as Tom observes, that is unlikely to be bestowed on most other cartoonists in the near future. You can check out Signe’s official site here for more; I thought this one was very simple, very clever and very poignant:

There are also links to some articles with Signe discussing the impact and influence of cartoons and why they can upset so many people, subjects close to most reader’s hearts.
