The BBC reports that the one and only William Shatner has auctioned… Wait for it… One of his kidney stones for £14, 000!!! We all know Trek-related memorabilia can go for a lot of money, but how often do the original stars auction off parts of themselves? Worry not, it is not the start of a new trend (what am I bid for Leonard Nimoy’s eyebrows?) but a (rather good) attempt to raise money for charity, in this case Habitat for Humanity, so kudos to the Great Shatner. Although one is moved to wonder if passing the kidney stone was more or less painful than listening to his last album…
