Film, TV and radio, General

The youth of today, that is. My friend’s young boys, both committed Who fans, have not taken to the occassional two-part episodes in the new Doctor Who. When their father explained to them that when he and Uncle Joe were boys we had cliffhangers almost every single week and usually had to wait between 4 and 6 episodes for a resolution they looked most unconvinced. Further explaining to them that a mere two parter was ‘bloody luxury’ and that we had to get up two hours before going to bed, eat cold gravel and work a 36 hour day drew similar blank looks… The Who (re)generation gap!
