Tim Burton has signed a two-picture deal with Disney to direct two films, both in 3-D. One is the long-rumoured feature length version of his own short about a pet dog resurrected by it’s owner, Frankenweenie, which will make a lot of Burton fans very happy. The second is a 3-D version of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland which, according to the Hollywood Reporter, will use a combination of live action and motion capture. Work is expected to being early next year with a mooted release of summer 2008, which seems like quite a tight schedule.
