Comics and cartoons, News

No, not a comment about Alan’s lifestyle choices, but a new humour comic for “today’s youth gone wild” called Wasted which Alan Grant (of 2000AD, Kidnapped, Batman and, let’s face it, a huge amount of other comics fame) will be editing and which will be published by Bad Press (who also did Shit the Dog with Alan and frequent writing partner John Wagner and Simon Bisley on art). Jamie Grant (colourist on We3, All Star Superman and others) from the Hope Street Studios and Alan are looking to the homegrown talent for contributions of work; Frank Quitely has offered to visualise the covers and Bad Press remark that they are committed to creators retaining their copyright. Graeme Neil Reid has posted a letter from them on the Pencil Monkey Forums, online talking spot for many of the UK’s small press comics creators, which gives some details. It looks like a good opportunity for Brit creators (especially the small press) to try their hand and submit some work. (thanks to Bear Alley for the heads-up on this)
