Over on the I’m Ready for my Podcast blog Alex Fitch has posted a podcast of his recent chat with Anita O’Brien, the curator of the Cartoon Museum in London, about their current exhibition of work by W. Heath Robinson (which runs until the 7th of October).
(Heath Robinson – “Deceiving the invader as to the state of the tide”, borrowed from the Cartoon Museum)
Alex also tells me that following the chaos created by their move Resonance FM is now back on the air, so you can again catch his I’m Ready for my Close-Up and Panel Borders on the radio and, as ever Alex will post podcast versions of the shows after transmission for those who can’t catch it on the radio. On which note Alex tells me that the return of Resonance to the airwaves has necessitated a slight re-jigging of shows and the second part of his interview with lecturer, artist and novelist Andrzej Klimowski has been delayed but will appear in due course. Meantime the new ‘Strip’ segment for this evening (at 5pm) will feature the whole of the hour long interview from earlier this year with Leah Moore and John Reppion. Next week (Tuesday 2nd at 7.30pm) Alex will be doing a live broadcast from the Roxy Bar and Screen with former Disney animator Vincent Woodcock alongside a screening of the brilliant Sylvian Chomet’s animated film Belleville Rendezvous and the short The Old Lady and the Pigeons.
