Comics Reporter has great coverage of the award-winners from this year’s Angoulême festival at the weekend, with Bart Beatty giving a good write-up (with more promised once he is settled back home from his voyages) and Tom who has covers up for the winners, including Shigeru Mizuki’s Non Non Ba which becomes the first manga to win the coveted Best Album category, while Charles Burns’ Black Hole makes the Angoulême Essentials list. More details are available on the official Angoulême site; let’s hope works so far not translated get picked up by the likes of D&Q in the near future.
