Banksy art exceeds sales expectations

Art and animation

Okay, I’ll try and make this the last mention of Banksy this week: the sale of his works at London auction house Bonham’s has apparently soared way beyond the anticipated £300, 000 mark, coming in at a staggering £546, 000 (almost a million dollars US) according to this BBC article. Nice work if you can get it – I wonder if the council of Tower Hamlets will read that and reconsider their plans to remove Banksy graffiti/art on buildings in their area? And does the value of such a sale mix up the argument over ‘is it vandalism/graffiti/art’?
