Danny Boyle, the man who brought us Trainspotting and Shallow Grave (and, er, the Beach, but let’s not hold that against him…) will be doing a Q&A at the Ritzy in London following the preview screening of his new science fiction film, Sunshine, on Wednesday 4th of April. The little gem that is Edinburgh’s Cameo Cinema will also be offering a preview with a live satellite link to the Ritzy so Edinburgh audiences can also see the director’s Q&A – you can even submit a question for Danny Boyle via the Cameo’s site. For those who don’t know it the Cameo is one of the loveliest cinemas in the country, with historic perdiod interior and a staff who love cinema the way we love our books and comics – it was also, I am glad to say, spared an ill-advised redevelopment recently after a local campaign to keep it as the splendid cinema it is so it could keep doing events like this.
