Film, TV and radio

Doctor Who star David Tennant is down to star in a joint BBC and HBO production about Albert Einstein and his Theory of Relativity, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Tennant will play Sir Arthur Eddington, an eminent phycisist from the early 20th century, who corresponded with Einstein, even during the Great War when their countries were fighting one another; Eddington used information gathered from an eclipse of 1919 and applied it to Einstein’s work to offer proof of its validity, introducing it to the wider, English-speaking world (fair to say it must be one of the top scientific theories even people who rarely read about the subject have heard of). Playing Einstein will be The Man Who Was Gollum, Andy Serkis, who I imagine will sink himself into the character with his usual finesse.
