Merchandise

The Manchester Evening News reports that local company Character Group has seen turnover and profits boosted; in case you didn’t know, Character Group is one of the companies who make some of the excellent range of new Doctor Who merchandise we’ve been enjoying, from the large – Cyberman voice-changer helmets – to the small, such as the range of detailed action figures (I have a little David Tennant Doctor Who clutching his sonic screwdriver sitting on my desk right now; yes, I know, I am a fanboy). In fact, as many will know, some of the hottest Who merchandise couldn’t be produced fast enough for Christmas and was constantly selling out. Co-founder Richard King told the Manchester paper that for next Christmas they were hoping to have similar success with their new voice changer helmet, this time based on Dalek Sec who is in the current two-part tale featuring the Daleks in Manhattan whcih concludes tomorrow night.
