No, that isn’t the title of a new episode of Doctor Who but the start of a new range of merchandise which looks terrific fun. The Micro Universe will be a range of ships from Doctor Who complete with a tiny figure – this is much smaller than the main action figures we all know and love already (several of which live on my desk, I can’t resist them), more like the small but very neat figures we see in the likes of the Heroclix range. The initial range – due in January – will include a Chula ship complete with a Captain Jack figure, a Judoon ship, the S.S. Madame de Pompadour (from the brilliant Girl in the Fireplace episode), a Slitheen ship with Space Pig (altogether now: Pigs In Spaceeeeeeeeeee), the Sanctuary Base rocket and spacesuited figure and best of all a great TARDIS set on a street complete with David Tennant’s Doctor. Clear more space on your shelves!
