Awards, Film, TV and radio

Doctor Who, produced by BBC Wales from their base in Cardiff, has swept the boards again at the BAFTA Cymru Awards, picking up no less than eight wins from thirteen nominations, while the more adult Who spinoff Torchwood received four awards, including Best Drama Series (hmmm, I liked Torchwood, but I think it was too spotty, too hit-and-miss in quality from week to week to receive that award, but I think it has great potential to grow in the next season) while the show’s Eve Myles (Wales’ answer to Audrey Tautou?) picked up the Best Actress gong.
