Free Comic Book Day for our Online Customers

We know many of you don’t get into the shops very often (or a branch just isn’t near enough to where you live) and so we thought we would make available some of the Free Comic Book day titles to those who purchase their Graphic Novels online. Here’s how it works – there are two packs we have assembled:

Pack 1 consists of The Legion Of Superheroes in the 31st Century, Transformers – the Movie Prequel, Amazing Spider-Man Swing Shift, Justice League of America 0 and Nexus Special.

Pack 2 includes Owly & Korgi, Lynda Barry Sampler, The Train Was Bang on Time, Comics Festival 2007 and The Umbrella Academy/Zero Killer.

When you spend £30 purchasing graphic novels from us online you can select one of the two packs; when you spend £50 or more we will send you both FOC. Orders cannot run cumulatively so must hit those value targets – the books will be sent to you in your first delivery to be dispatched after May 5th.

[...] I’ve just finished ordering the books for our Free Comic Book Day online offer and checking through the commitment we have to the project as a retail group. The notice boards have had much talk about the FREE nature of the endeavour bemoaning how it actually is far from FREE. We are only running the FCBD in 7 of our 17 outlets and through our Mail Order but the cost to us is in excess of $6,000. [...]

[...] I’ve just had a look at the influence of Free Comic Book Day on our weekend sales. As usual in real, on the day, monetray terms the sales didn’t really jump enough to cover the costs involved with giving away 40,000+ comics on the day – something I’ve written about before here. [...]
