Coinciding with the Wimbledon tennis tournament that’s well under way right now (except when it is raining, which is a lot – Joe), Asterix fans are invited to take part in a tournament of their own : the Tournament of the Indomitables, which is now in its third round. On the Asterix website visitors can vote for several Asterix characters in a series of one-on-one duels. After a certain period, the winners of each duel go to the next phase. It’s like fantasy football league, but with Gauls instead of goals (ok, that was a bad pun). And while you’re there, also visit the National Asterix Portrait Gallery, an ever expanding gallery of beautifully rendered portraits of Asterix characters.
