Film, TV and radio, News

The show Heroes seems to have been a hit with audiences and critics in the US, judging from what I’ve been reading online, and not just with fans of superhero comics. A number of sources are saying that the show has already been picked up for a second season, which is good news as UK viewers finally prepare to watch the start of the first season shortly on the UK SciFi channel and later in the year on terrestrial TV via the BBC (assuming they haven’t just downloaded it from the US and watched it already). In other Heroes news well-loved Star Trek actor George Takei will play the father of the Heroes’ cahracter Hiro Nakamura later in the first season.

Christopher Eccleston is supposed to be in the second half of the first series too (starts in the US on the 22nd), playing an invisible man.

It’s a very good series, well worth downloading waiting for.
