Following yesterday’s news that theatrical rock group KISS would be returning once more to the world of comics Comic Book Resources‘ Jonah Weiland has dived right in there to snatch an interview with the band’s front men Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley as well as Scott Rosenberg (no, not a new band member, he’s the chairman of their partners at Platinum Studios) and asks just why they have decided to return to comics after several years and why with a huge comic (the Destroyer Edition, named for one of their most popular albums) Stanley says the Guinness Book of World Records will certify as the largest ever.
“We grew up and lived, breathed and dreamed comic books. Not just Marvel, but the classic stuff from Gardner Fox, Denny O’Neil, etc., we know this stuff. For fucks sake, I grew up with Marv Wolfman! We were going to do a fanzine together as kids!” Gene Simmons establishes his comics credentials.
