Marko Ajdaric is used to covering comics news – his excellent Neorama site picks up on stories from around the world and is one I check regularly because he always finds an interesting story or event going on in the wide, wide world of the ninth art that I’d otherwise not hear about (and then of course I share it with you guys). This time though Marko is delighted to be a character in a comic rather than reporting on it: Angel de la Calle included Marko in a cartoon version of their meeting in Săo Paulo last year while over at the invitation of his Brazilian publishers Conrad. Angel is the author of the Modotti series in Italy (which Marko highly recommends – let’s hope someone produces an English language edition), as well as working on the magazine Dentro de la Vińeta and organising the Jornadas de Cómic de Avilés and the Semana Negra de Gijón events (both held in Asturias), as well as the Diarios de Festival seen here which document Angel’s encounters with other artists and comics folks, including Marko in this strip:
