Comics and cartoons, Reviews

Over on Comicbits Terry Hooper reviews the latest issue of German small press comics journal Plop! – “I had mixed feelings. I’d first been introduced to one of Germany’s best Small Press mags back in the 1980s when Heike Anacher was editor. The mag was a mixed bag of styles and was one of my favourites. But it’s 2007 -could PLOP still be any good?”. The good news is that Terry seems to still be impressed with Plop!, with “Visiting Day” by N.N., Moritz Stetter’s “Scheisse traumen” and Ulrich Magin’s “Paris Hilton Sucht Gott” among the strips singled out for particular praise. According to the article Plop! #78 is 64 pages and will set you back all of 3 Euros – email Andreas Alt for details at andreas_alt@t-online.de.
