John Freeman writes on the Down The Tubes blog about a problem which he has encountered on Wikipedia, where the entry on The Really Heavy Greatcoat strip was deleted. John and artist Nick Miller have been creating the comic strip for two decades now, with it appearing in the highly respected Comics International (hardly an obscure journal, is it?) and with an extensive archive online so it seems somewhat surprising that a Wiki editor has decided that the entry is not ‘noteworthy’ enough, especially given that there are entries on far less well-known strips which have been in existence for a tenth of the time. The entry has been re-instated for the moment, but a discussion has been opened on the subject to see if the entry should be kept, so John and Nick would be delighted if any readers who have enjoyed The Really Heavy Greatcoat over the years would take some time out to add a few words supporting their case, which you can do here.
(and since we’re talking about it I can’t resist borrowing a quick comic strip from the Really Heavy Greatcoat archives (c) John Freeman and Nick Miller)

Pleased to say that thanks to FPI and others, and a knowledgeable Wiki editor, the RHG entry on Wikipedia has been fully restored. Thanks guys — way to go!
