Howard Webster drops a line to say another indy band has taken up their offer of remixing material from the Jonas Moore multimedia comics site. This time round a group called Humans Out of Control – who Howard describes as sounding a bit like “Depeche Mode meets Morcheba” – have enjoyed it so much they have remixed the videos to their music not once, not twice but three times. As Howard notes, if this keeps going on they’ll have a virtual album of new music around the comic. A lot of comics-based films often trumpet which bands are on the soundtrack when you see the trailer, so I find it rather neat to see the bands matching the visuals to their music and creating something new, rather than some film studio grabbing bands they think will help sell a movie to stick on the soundtrack to flog to us.
