Hollywood Reporter carries news that Seth Green and Matthew Senreich are to create a special 30 minute stop-motion animation for Adult Swim called “Robot Chicken: Star Wars”. George Lucas is onboard to voice his own character (it is being produced in collaboration with LucasFilm) and Mark Hamill, himself no stranger to animation voice-overs, will supply vocal talent for the Luke Skywalker in the animation. The show should go out in the US on June 17th; no idea when the rest of the world gets it, although I strongly suspect most will be downloading it from one place or another shortly after it screens. YouTube has some of the previous short Star Wars sketches Robot Chicken has done before, including the one where Vader phones the Emperor to explain the Death Star has been blown up.
