It isn’t often that the UK finds itself beneath a blanket of snow – but this morning we almost all awoke to a sky full of white confetti. Of course with it comes road chaos and in a day or so the misery of trudging through the sludge that is left behind but for today the world looks a beautiful place. And feeling all misty eyed with the wonder of nature we thought we’d use it as a clichéd excuse to trot out Watterson’s last Calvin and Hobbes strip. The snow came a month late but I think this strip sums up how we feel about the whole new year ahead with so many great comics and books to come – “A New Year, a fresh clean start!” – “Let’s go exploring!”
