The BBC reports that Kevin Spacey, despite rumours he is disenchanted with films, preferring to spend more time in the theatre (he is the artistic director of the famed Old Vic in London), will be returning as Lex Luthor in the sequel to Superman Returns, Superman: Man of Steel which is down for a 2009 release.
