Heidi over on The Beat has full details of this year’s Spectrum Awards for the best in fantastic art. In the Comics category Adam Hughes won the Gold Award for his depiction “Wanda – Lost” for Marvel (didn’t see this actual image, although Adam has one of Wanda on his official site you can admire) while the silver went to James Jean for Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall (Jean also picked up awards in the Advertising and Editorial categories). Jon Foster won the gold in the Books category for the cover to Jon Courtenay Grimwood’s 9Tail Fox – the Night Shade edition for the US and not the Gollancz one we had here a couple of years back I need to add. Annoyingly I couldn’t actually find an image of that cover online; even Night Shade’s own site simply had a ‘picture to follow’ for their edition which is due this spring (presumably the judges were allowed to see it rather earlier).
