Steve Ditko. My all time fave artist.
I actaully saw the cover Ditko had planned and did (not coloured) for the above Kirby-done first Spider-man.
Its actually significantly better.
I dunno what Stan Lee was thinking of.

Dave, I think BBC 4 already repeated it several times in the week after the initial broadcast, as they often do on the digital channels, but no idea when it may get repeated again now – more than likely all of the comics season will get re-screened at some point either on 4 or maybe a terrestrial showing on BBC2. The makers said they were hoping it would get a BBC2 screening at some point but nothing has been announced by schedulers yet

Actually, the _pencils_ on the page are by Kirby, the inks are by Ditko.

Whoops! That cover of Amazing Fantasy #15 your illustrating this story with is nice, but it’s drawn by Jack Kirby, not The Great Ditko. Look at the face of and hands of poor sap under Spidey’s arm: Kirby.
