IT Wales has news of the upcoming SAND – Swansea Animation Days (surely that should be SAD? Although that might have been too off-putting, I suppose) – which will take place this November. The conference, organised by the Swansea Institute’s School of Digital Media, will run from the 26th to 30th November at the Taliesin Arts Centre, Swansea and the focus is entirely on CGI. Details of this year’s speakers will be released soon, but judging by the roster of previous contributors – DreamWorks, The Mill (who have done CGI for Doctor Who and the Citroen dancing robot ad), Aardman, EA Games and others – it looks like a pretty impressive and serious conference, covering games, TV, film, business, commercials and AI.
