Comics and cartoons

Prepare yourself for a pulp science fiction treat of Kirbyesque goodness – the Monster Blog has been collecting scans from collectors of classic Jack Kirby monster tales which have never been reprinted in collections. Come and gaze in wonder and terror (and chronological order!) at The Creatures in the Volcano, I was Face to Face With a Creature From Planet X!, The Luna Lizards Had Me Trapped!, I Am Robot X, Midnight in the Wax Museum, I Accept the Deadly Challenge of Zarkorr and others, mostly drawn from the likes of Tales of Suspense and Journey Into Mystery from the late 1950s and early 60s. Okay they may be cheesier than a Brie salad but they are still brilliantly enjoyable. (link via Boing Boing)
